In looking for another puppy that could be as versatile as the breed should be, we were led to White River Shorthairs. We knew when we first saw Chip, that he was a very special dog. He had a great temperament, playful attitude, and even at 12 weeks he was able to hold his movement together...which is so hard for all puppies at this stage.

We acquired Chip from Char Rutar, of White River Shorthairs, as a 13 week old puppy in August 2003. We believe that Chip will prove to be another example of the "complete package" that we so desire in all of our dogs. Again by complete package, we are referring to dogs that are wonderful companions, whose pedigree, conformation, and athleticism make them exceptional prospects for future success in the home, show ring, and in the field.

He is a sound dog with strong bone, effortless movement, keen intelligence, mild disposition, and playful attitude. All of this makes him a pleasureful companion and a sure success in all that he does.

Chip has now completed his AKC, UKC, UCI Nat'l BA and UCI International Championships and will continue on in the show ring as a special on a limited basis while he focuses his time on various performance events. Chip is working on his field training and has already acquired his Novice Retrieving Dog (GSPCA) and Junior Hunter titles, as well as placed in the Open Puppy class at a field trial. He has also recently started obedience training and has already earned his Rally Novice title. Keep an eye on Chip as he continues on the path of being an exceptional dog.
